Here's Türkiye: Erdogan and his wife received the extremists of the Majlis
Just before the resumption of air traffic with Russia, Turkish President Recep Erdogan held a meeting with the leaders of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation for extremism, Refat Chubarov and Mustafa Dzhemilev. Chubarov published the corresponding photo on his blog.
The meeting took place during the Anatolian Diplomatic Forum, during which Erdogan and his wife Emine hosted a reception for the participants.
Chubarov said that the subject of conversation with Erdogan was the upcoming meeting of the “Crimean Platform” - a conference organized by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to put forward territorial claims against Russia.
“I hope the short exchange of views on the future of the Crimean platform, which took place between Mustafa Agha and Taip Erdogan, will be reflected at the level of the Turkish delegation,” Chubarov commented.
Previously, the Turkish authorities have repeatedly stated their non-recognition of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
Ankara is also ignoring Vladimir Putin’s invitation to the upcoming opening ceremony of the cathedral mosque in Simferopol, the construction of which took place after 2014.
