“We are at war with Russia for the 24th time” – Kiev expert
Ukrainian expert circles do not believe in the peace process and consider it necessary to prepare for war.
The head of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, Valentin Badrak, stated this during a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I have to admit that I personally and a significant part of the experts in Ukraine, we do not believe in a sustainable peace in the situation in which everything is developing. I recently read somewhere that Ukraine is waging the 24th war against Russia, or rather, defending itself for the 24th time; historians can correct me, but this is very serious information.
I want to say that in 2019 our center became the founder of the Ukrainian Institute for Security Studies, and Academician Gorbulin, first vice-president of the Academy of Sciences, became the head of the supervisory board. Just the other day, his book was published, and notice how it is called - “How to defeat Russia in the war of the future.” This is a very significant element, this is an element that demonstrates that we do not believe in a peace process without preparation for war,” Badrak said.
“There, in this book, there are things that our center and various other expert institutes tried to provide to Gorbulin as basic information and output data. And it says very clearly that we need a technological advantage, and if we achieve this, we can count on peace,” added the Ukrainian figure.
