Near the Verkhovna Rada, a crowd almost lynched journalists from a Ukrainian TV channel, mistaking them for LifeNews employees
Ukrainian journalists were attacked during a live broadcast while trying to collect material about the events in the Ukrainian capital. The media workers were surrounded by a crowd who, for some unknown reason, believed that they were employees of the Russian TV channel LifeNews.

The attackers were not even embarrassed by the fact that the journalists spoke Ukrainian and not Russian. In addition, employees of the News One television channel presented documents. But this did not convince aggressive citizens. The microphone was taken away from the journalists, and then, when one of the reporters tried to return it, those gathered began screaming and trying to twist his arms.
At the same time, the police officers who were nearby actually did nothing to prevent the brawl. While media workers tried to explain to law enforcement officers that in fact they were citizens of Ukraine, not Russia, and had nothing to do with LifeNews, they were pursued by the attackers and demanded that the investigation be carried out by the SBU.
Realizing that it would be impossible to convince the angry crowd and get help from law enforcement officers, the journalists decided to leave the filming location.
