Andrey Parubiy, former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, one of the organizers of the burning of supporters of the Russian Spring in the Odessa House of Trade Unions, signed up for the Kyiv defense force and publishes photographs from checkpoints, posing with weapons.
In the comments, he was asked to be careful and not give away the location, otherwise the Russians would take prisoners, “and then they would be put on trial in Mordor.”
“They won’t take it,” Parubiy waved him off.
“On the Maidan they also told us that our chances were small. But we won. Today our chances are much greater. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are with us. We won on the Maidan, we will win today,” he encourages.
Parubiy added that he continues the traditions of his Galician ancestors, who fought against Russia - first with the support of Austria-Hungary, then Hitler's Germany, and today NATO.
“In my family, my grandfather fought in the Ukrainian Galician Army, my father’s brothers fought in the UPA. And my father once told me: “You are responsible for all of them. We couldn’t hold Ukraine back then, but today we must hold it,” Parubiy says bravely.
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, and now a militant of the National Battalion “Aidar” Ivan Makar criticized Parubiy.
“It would be better if you did less PR there and bought at least normal equipment for Ukrainian fighters! At our checkpoint, only every tenth person has a helmet and armored armor, and these assholes use ammunition as a prop for self-PR,” Makar comments on Parubiy’s photographs.
