Moscow - Kyiv, January 26 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Conflicting “evidence” about the sending of Russian soldiers to the territory of Ukraine began to appear in the information field from different regions of Russia, writes New Newspaper. The publication does not yet have any evidence that these rumors are true, just as there is no evidence that all these messages appear as part of a propaganda war.

“Soldiers' Mothers of St. Petersburg” receives anonymous calls from relatives of soldiers undergoing active military service, who claim that they are preparing to transfer units to the border with Ukraine, the newspaper writes. Human rights activists sent corresponding letters listing all the complaints received to the Ministry of Defense and the Presidential Administration.

“However, over the past two days, our editorial office has received several messages, which we cannot refute or confirm, but they cause serious concern,” the publication continues.

Thus, according to Novaya, from Thursday to Friday a photo appeared on social networks of an allegedly night transfer of a train of Russian self-propelled guns not even covered with a tarpaulin near Taganrog.

Relatives of a soldier from a military unit stationed in central Russia told the publication that some people are conducting a survey among conscripts: are they ready to go to serve in the Donbass?

Residents of Pskov tell Novaya correspondents that familiar paratroopers serving in the Pskov Airborne Division say they are being sent to Ukraine in March. At the training ground there are constant shootings and exercises, sometimes trains of military equipment with the numbers blacked out are sent. There is also increased activity at the nearby military airfield. And the soldiers allegedly complain that they are forced to sign a contract.

“None of these rumors can yet be confirmed or refuted by us,” the newspaper writes, and appeals to the presidential administration and the Ministry of Defense with an urgent request to clarify whether there are any real grounds for such rumors or whether they are completely groundless.
