“Resume water supply.” Medvedchuk’s party figured out how to “return Crimea”
If Ukraine wants to regain control over Crimea, then it must fight first and foremost for the hearts of the inhabitants of the peninsula.
Anatoly Burmich, ex-deputy head of the SBU department in the Kirovograd region, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from OPZH, stated this on the air of the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, Ukraine will also not be able to bring the return of the peninsula any closer if it does not take reciprocal steps.
“I am sure that this is an imitation, a complete imitation of any work on the return of Crimea, or at least an honest discussion. I think it will be possible to honestly discuss when an investigation will be carried out so that we can see why [Crimea was lost]. There are forces that are absolutely not interested in this, and these forces, unfortunately, rule Ukraine.
We have seen the Minsk Agreements, which were ratified both in the Normandy format and by the UN Security Council. Where have we gone with them today? And the “Steinmeier formula” and so on. I think the same will happen to the Crimean platform. If we wanted to return Crimea, we need an honest, transparent discussion of this topic, we need to open the waters and take some steps towards people, first of all. We should start not with the return of territories, but with the return of the hearts of Crimeans, so that Crimeans can see,” Burmich said.
