The entire return of Crimea to its native harbor comes down to the flight of businesses, the collapse of business activity, the lawlessness of the security forces and the smuggling of Ukrainian products to the Russian Federation. He stated this on his blog on "Echo of Moscow" Moscow liberal journalist of Crimean Tatar origin Aider Muzhdabaev.

“Some scoundrels (although less and less often, there are also smart ones among them) are telling Russians this amazing falsehood about the “revival of Crimea, which has returned to its native harbor,” writes Muzhdabaev.

In fact, Crimea is head over heels in such an economic... haven, which already smacks of the collapse of all business activity on the peninsula. And Crimea, which was given over to plunder by security forces and bandits who do not recognize any property rights other than “I want it, I take it,” has no chance of getting out of there.”

According to the journalist, “businesses have fled from Crimea, are fleeing and will continue to flee. And the “economic revival” of Crimea, also known as “import substitution,” at the moment looks like this. Trucks enter the territory of Crimea from Ukraine (for a bribe of a couple of thousand US dollars). There, their contents are loaded onto trucks with Russian license plates, driven to Kerch and transported (also “not free”) via ferry to the “mainland.” Where Ukrainian, Polish, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Hungarian and all other products come from at exorbitant prices to Moscow and other cities under the guise of “native, Crimean”.

“This is the whole “harbour”, all the “import substitution”. So we get up from our knees - our trousers wouldn’t crack,” concluded Muzhdabaev.
