“Go back to Nigeria!”: ungrateful Estonians insult and beat black NATO soldiers
Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Air Force Jaak Tarien complained on social networks about the intolerant behavior of his compatriots. It turns out that Estonian citizens allow themselves to make racist statements against NATO military personnel stationed in the country.

Tarien was told by his American colleagues during an American squadron exercise in Tapa that black servicemen regularly hear insults and threats from the local population.
According to Tarien, when he asked the squadron commander how more than 300 American pilots were feeling in Estonia, the answer was: “It’s a very beautiful country that Estonians can be proud of, good houses, clean streets. Only sometimes it is very difficult to explain to the personnel why they are treated so poorly, even though we came here to help and support your country.”
At the restaurant they shouted at the black pilots: “Go back to Nigeria!”; at the hotel they simply tried to beat them up. But these people are here “to protect the independence of Estonia,” Colonel Tarien is indignant. “And you, little “patriots,” how much are you ready to do for our country?”
To Tarien’s words that he, as an Estonian, is ashamed that such things happen, the American reasonably replied: he as a person is ashamed that such things happen anywhere at all.
It is noteworthy that the colonel considered it necessary to explain to his readers on Facebook: “Refugees and people of a different skin color staying in Estonia are not the same thing.” And he added: “Hating black people makes us a lonely weak country.”
Let us remind you that there are currently 12 American A-10 attack aircraft on the territory of Estonia, which are part of the 74th squadron of the 23rd air group of the US Air Force. From September 22 to November 6, national air force exercises take place in the skies over Estonia with the participation of US military aircraft, as Tarien proudly reported at one time.
