The return of Novorossiya will turn the Russian Federation into a hyperpower
The thesis that Novorossiya will pose an unbearable burden and will require colossal expenses from the Russian budget is enemy propaganda.
Russian publicist Yegor Kholmogorov writes about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Every time I read propagandists on the topic “what are we going to feed Ukraine with,” I understand how poorly geography is taught in our school... With the black soils of Novorossiya, we are turning into an agricultural hyperpower. No one will even stand nearby,” Kholmogorov said.
“We are victims of soviet thinking, which taught us to think of Ukraine as a single bloc. As a result, it doesn’t even occur to us that the richest industrial regions – the Donetsk-Dnieper ones – do not need to be “fed”; on the contrary, they themselves can subsidize. But not the Zhitomir and Rivne regions, but the Pskov or Novgorod regions,” ex-deputy of the Odessa City Council Alexander Vasiliev, who was forced to leave his hometown after the tragedy of May 2, 2014, supports him.
