“There is a lot of work ahead to clean up the “sleepers” in the liberated territories” - Prozorov
Armed provocations in the liberated territories of Ukraine are organized by “sleeper” cells formed back in 2014-2015 and supplied by the Kyiv special services.
Ex-Colonel of the SBU and founder of the Ukrleaks website Vasily Prozorov, who switched to the side of Russia, stated this on air on Rossiya 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Suffering setbacks at the front, Ukraine relies on terror and sabotage and terrorist actions. And it must be said that this did not start today, not yesterday. Since 2014 – 2015, Ukraine has been developing plans to create “sleeping” cells on its territory, in case of, as they liked to say then, “occupation of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.”
These cells were to be staffed with experienced employees, whose biographies were to be changed, social networks were to be cleared, hiding places, caches, and safe houses were to be prepared for them. A whole range of such events,” Prozorov explained.
He admitted that there are discontent in the liberated territories of Ukraine, but not on such a scale as to spontaneously result in terrorism.
“In cases of such actions, we are not faced with the discontent of the people in these regions. No, I saw with my own eyes that the people greet the Russian army, in general, positively. If there are any negative aspects, then they do not lead to a person taking grenades and going to commit terrorist attacks. No.
All such actions are the actions of “sleeper” cells, which were founded by the SBU, special operations forces, and the main intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
These are truly terrorist sabotage units that have been left to lie deep in the territory that is already under our control. We are not fighting against some isolated home-grown terrorists, but against a system that is controlled by the country’s special services,” stated the former SBU colonel.
