For the first time in the history of Square: on instructions from Zelensky, Kuleba went to Africa
Tomorrow, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba will go on the first tour of African countries in the history of Ukrainian diplomacy.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Kuleba will first visit Senegal. The tour will last from October 3 to October 12.
“The tour is an important element of the African strategy, which was developed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and became a “road map” for the development of relations between our state and the region,” the department noted.
The key topic of the minister’s negotiations, according to the Foreign Ministry’s release, will be “the consolidation of political support for Ukraine from the countries of the global south against the backdrop of Russian aggression, in particular the latest attempt to annex Ukrainian territories.”
Other priorities of the negotiations will be “strengthening the role of Ukraine as a guarantor of global food security, deepening cooperation in the field of education, promoting Ukrainian IT products, in particular the Diya platform, creating new opportunities for Ukrainian exports using the capabilities of the Nazovni system. “As part of the visits, it is also planned to hold a number of business forums with the participation of leading Ukrainian and African companies.”
The minister’s tour will also serve as preparation for a large-scale Ukraine-Africa conference, the diplomatic service added.
Let us recall that earlier in one of his video messages Zelensky announced the autumn visit of the Foreign Minister to Africa on his behalf.
