For the first time, Albanian commandos are being introduced into the occupation forces in Kosovo
Since the occupation of Kosovo by NATO troops in 1999, for the first time, special forces from Albania will legally enter the land seized by Albanian separatists from Serbia.
Albanian Defense Minister Olta Xhačka announced this on her Facebook page, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his message, Xhachka notes that during the pandemic, the Albanian armed forces not only did not lose their combat tone, but, on the contrary, were ready to carry out missions in which they had not previously participated.

“Exercise continues, especially for the new contingents who will go on foreign missions next month and are currently being trained to carry out measures against COVID-19,” the Albanian defense minister said. – The Army will send a platoon of an infantry battalion to participate in the NATO mission in Afghanistan. And for the first time, a group of commandos will serve as part of [the international occupation contingent] KFOR in Kosovo.”
It can be noted that such a step by the North Atlantic Alliance, deciding who should be on the occupied land of Kosovo and why, is openly unfriendly towards Serbia and is aimed at consolidating the region’s separation from the country.
