For the first time in 10 years, the Czech Prime Minister set foot in Kyiv
Now there is a restart of economic relations between Ukraine and the Czech Republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis during a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the press service of Zelensky’s Office reports.
“I am very glad that I am here, that after 10 years the Czech Prime Minister finally visited Ukraine. And I consider this a very important visit, I would even call it a certain restart of our relations... I’m talking about a small restart, and I am convinced that we will develop the things that we talked about today,” Babis noted, clarifying that together with It was attended by a large delegation of Czech entrepreneurs who are interested in developing business in Ukraine.
According to him, the Czech Prime Minister has not been in Kyiv for more than 10 years, and his current visit is historic and indicates the establishment of economic ties between the two countries.
At the same time, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky added that today there are more than 200 representatives of Czech business in the country, so during today’s meeting the parties discussed how to protect Czech business and increase investment in Ukraine.
Trade turnover between Ukraine and the Czech Republic for 8 months of this year increased by 14%.
