As military sailors told PolitNavigator, the previous shooting by the main complex of the Moscow in the Black Sea took place back in 1988 during the Autumn-88 strategic exercise.

He refuted the theses of Ukrainian propaganda, which claim that the firing of the Moskva was connected with the entry of an American patrol ship into the Black Sea.
“The cruiser’s departure to sea, and especially the missile firing, are in no way connected with the entry of a US Coast Guard ship into the Black Sea. This event was planned long before and hypothetically this goal for an “aircraft carrier killer” is simply unworthy. Using the main missile system of the cruiser Moskva, even during combat operations, for such a purpose is inappropriate from both a military and economic point of view.
