"The enemy will be destroyed." Belarusian special forces will detain zmagars with grenades
Special forces of the Belarusian police will now use grenades and sniffer dogs when detaining the Belarusian opposition. This is the reaction to the recent murder of a KGB officer who was shot dead by suspected terrorist Andrei Zeltser.
Nikolai Karpenkov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander of the Internal Troops of Belarus, stated this in an interview with the STV television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The response of law enforcement in this situation will be adequate, legal and absolutely consistent. As special forces are supposed to work, they will work that way. There is a terrorist, there is an address where he is located. They arrived and warned us. If you don't open the door, the doors explode. Flash-noise grenades will be used. The staff will let the dog in there. Let's go there with a shield. And if in this situation we do not see hands raised, the enemy will be destroyed,” Karpenkov said.
Zeltser opened fire with a gun at the security forces, who broke down the door and entered his apartment. The oppositionist himself did not open it. The husband's actions were filmed by his wife. She was detained on suspicion of complicity in murder. Zeltser himself was shot by the task force that entered the apartment.
