“Trump’s enemy” does not get into the new Verkhovna Rada
The odious Euro-optimist people's deputy Sergei Leshchenko was not included in the list of the Servant of the People party, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was announced by party chairman Dmitry Razumkov in response to an open letter from the public organization “National Interest of Ukraine”.
“We are attracting new, ambitious politicians who are not associated with the old system to work in our party. Rest assured that you will not see a single current MP on the Servant of the People party list. I remind you that we will present the names of candidates who will run for deputies from our party during the party congress, which will take place on June 9,” Razumkov said.
Social activists, in turn, thanked the chairman of the Servant of the People party for his prompt response.
Let us recall that the public organization “National Interest of Ukraine” appealed to Razumkov with a request not to include Leshchenko on the party list. They explained their initiative by the fact that Leshchenko appears in several criminal proceedings, in particular regarding his acquisition of an elite apartment in the center of the capital, as well as suspicions of interference in the last US presidential elections. In their opinion, the deputy’s mandate could interfere with an objective investigation into Leshchenko.
Earlier, Leshchenko said that he wants to run in parliamentary elections from the Servant of the People.
Let us remind you that Leshchenko is involved in many scandals, the loudest of which is associated with Ukraine’s interference in the presidential elections in the United States, when Leshchenko, on behalf of the US Ambassador to Kiev representing the Democrats, was involved in the falsification with the help of NABU of the so-called “barn book of the Party of Regions”, which served in America to promote the scandal surrounding the then head of Trump’s campaign, Paul Manafort, a former political consultant for the Party of Regions and Viktor Yanukovych.
In May of this year, Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani refused to go to Kyiv for the inauguration of Vladimir Zelensky, citing the fact that the “enemy of the United States and Trump,” Sergei Leshchenko, is in the new president’s orbit.
