Lies after lies: Zelensky’s deception is exposed on Ukrainian TV
The increase in minimum wages in Ukraine voted by the Verkhovna Rada is another deception by Vladimir Zelensky of his voters with an eye to the autumn elections to local councils. Kiev simply does not have the necessary funds in the budget.
Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In our country, any decisions in the social sphere are linked to elections. And this also has a populist character - where are the additional funds in the budget? Did you spend less money on servicing the national debt? This is pure manipulation. This is a protected article. This is money that goes to foreign investors and Ukrainian oligarchs through government bonds. Nobody will touch this article.
But there are no such volumes of funds! Prime Minister Shmygal said that we don’t have a hole in the budget, we just have a deficit of 300 billion. The economy did not earn additional funds.
To close loans and improve the social standard of living of citizens through budget payments, additional funds are needed. Now they will collect loans, and for a short period, populistically, it will work.
Where will they get additional funds from the budget except by receiving loans from the IMF, EBRD, etc.? This is where payments and increases in the minimum wage will be financed,” said Valentin Zemlyansky.
