The “harmful man” Babchenko announced his intention to “disturb” Russia “with his face on the table.”
Inspired by successfully won lawsuits against the Russian Federation filed by Alexei Navalny and members of the Pussy Riot collective, Russian propagandist Arkady Babchenko, who fled to Ukraine, also filed a lawsuit with the ECHR against Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Babchenko reported this on his Facebook page.
He noted without undue modesty that today's main news in the German publication Bild was headlines about Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko.
"Well. We are starting a new series “Arkady Babchenko against the Russian Federation”. I signed a claim to the ECHR. My lawyer will be Ben Emmerson, the lawyer of Marina Litvinenko, the widow of Alexander Litvinenko,” Babchenko wrote on his Facebook page.
“The lawsuit is not only about attempted murder. There are fourteen pages of fine print about everything. And about bullying. And about criminal cases. And about “Seventeen Friends of the Junta”. And about surveillance. And about Milonov, Channel One, the petition for deprivation of citizenship, Life, Constantinople, the list of national traitors, the murder of my colleagues and friends, the ban on the profession, the strangulation of freedom of speech, the beating of oppositionists, Marina Yudenich, Masha Zakharova, NTV, NOD - everyone, everyone, everyone,” he wrote.
Babchenko added that there will be photographs, videos, and denunciations.
“I'm a nasty guy. All these years I put everything in a separate folder. Well, now it’s time to open this folder,” Babchenko noted.
The propagandist added that the amount of the claim has not yet been determined, but he warns that the amount will be normal, because he has something to spend money on.
Babchenko added that now it was his turn to “drive them around the table,” referring to the Russian authorities.
