The time has passed for Donbass to return to Ukraine
Residents of Donbass are unlikely to want to live in the same state as Ukraine, which is trying to destroy them.
Pavel Shperov, a member of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, a deputy from the LDPR faction, stated this in a commentary to Duma-TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is impossible to resolve the Donbass issue through laws alone, because the primary problem was precisely the attitude of the Ukrainian authorities towards their own citizens. That is, they were considered second-class citizens, and at some point people simply rebelled. Therefore, it is now very difficult to change the situation only at the legislative level.
But for my part, I believe that time has already passed, that is, those people who have suffered for many years from the consequences of Ukrainian attacks are unlikely to want to live in the same state with those who tried to destroy them,” Shperov said .
