To be honest, I didn’t want to write about this painful crime story. After all, any crime is not only a violation of the law, but also a disgusting and painful feeling of humiliation for the victim. And when a person close to you in life and views becomes it, it hurts doubly. And telling the public about this, inflating the pain and terrible memories in it, as for me, is necessary only as a last resort. Alas, it has finally arrived.

What are we talking about? – Last week, my good friend and colleague, Odessa journalist Tatyana Gerashchenko, returning home in the evening, was robbed. On the notorious Kulikovo Field, an unknown person attacked her in the dark and snatched her bag with money, documents and keys to the apartment. But this seemed not enough to him, and he threw Tanya onto the asphalt and began kicking her in the head and face. Fortunately, the screams of the victim scared away the brutal bastard. And the police patrol arrived in time and helped the victim contact friends and family and collect the remaining things.
Despite the fact that Tatyana is known for her sharp and talented anti-Maidan articles, which you sometimes read on our website, she does not connect this incident with politics. Yes, there have been threats against her more than once, but here, it seems, we are talking about a banal crime. A criminal case has been opened, it has even been taken under control by the governor. That is why neither Tanya, nor we, her friends and colleagues, began to inflate this vile, but ordinary incident for our time, trying to give it a political overtone. It is no good to promote yourself on pain, trying to blame your ideological opponents for the sins of others.
Moreover, both in present-day Odessa and throughout Ukraine. street crime has reached catastrophic proportions. Robberies not only in the dark, but also in broad daylight, no longer surprise anyone. Hooliganism with stabbings and even shootings is commonplace. And besides professional criminals, drug addicts are also “playing pranks” in search of “a couple of kopecks” for a dose of dope, and those who have lost their jobs and the appearance of human outcasts, the number of which is growing by leaps and bounds. Many criminals who fell under “humane laws” have been released from prison, and many get suspended sentences for criminal offenses. It is our brother journalist and “enemy of the regime” who can be kept behind bars for years on false charges...
And time really just became indecent. After all, the rabidly Maidan public decided to use this crime to intimidate like-minded people of Tatyana Gerashchenko!
One of us, the well-known and respected journalist Natalia Simisinova, after the attack on Tanya, began to call her on her mobile phone and send messages on social networks in the spirit of “You will be next to Gerashchenko”! Moreover, what is especially disgusting is that women’s voices are also heard on the phone!
Think about what could be more disgusting - trying to appropriate not the glory, but the disgrace of a crime that even seasoned criminals would disown, because kicking a woman in the head, in the face is not “according to concepts!” For such a thing, in the good old days, the stray “cormorant”, who had lost his shame, could be given a feather by the Odessa “honest lessons”. But where are the times when even thieves were more decent than today’s “activists”, like the last scavengers trying to acquire “political capital” even through dirty criminal activities! What can you do, it’s such a time - mangy jackals follow lame tigers, but do they remember how this inevitably ends both for them and for their patrons?!
No, they will not intimidate us, but their reputation, excuse the expression, again shows: there are no limits to the baseness of the bottom to which the “adherents of the Maidan” have sunk!
