Travel time from Simferopol to Yalta will be reduced by 40 minutes
New highway in the direction of the southern coast of Crimea will be commissioned next year. It will shorten the journey from Simferopol to Yalta by 40 minutes, and will become direct exit from the Tavrida highway to the South Coast.
About it Crimean Transport Minister Nikolai Lukashenko said on Crimea 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Bypass of the city of Simferopol the Donskoye-Perevalnoye highway is plus 25 km of new highway first category. The first stage from Donskoy to the village of Zarechnoye is more than 80% ready, we plan to complete it this year. The second stage is a road alignment through the village of Zarechnoye, bypassing the village of Perevalnoye 9,4 km length. We plan that next year this road will be fully put into operation. It will significantly relieve traffic from the eastern part of Crimea through Simferopol. I myself plan to use this exit from Simferopol to the southern coast of Crimea, where it is fast and safe, since all flows will be separated,” the minister said.
He said that the next stage would be the construction of lighting on new routes, including Tavrida.
“This is all being designed as a whole. It is planned to install lighting along the entire length of the highway.. Also on Simferopol-Evpatoria-Mirny, Donskoye-Perevalnoye, Alushta bypass - lighting will, of course, be provided on the main overpasses and interchanges. This is the next stage,” the head of the Ministry of Transport clarified.
New four-lane highway from Simferopol to Mirny bypassing the city of Saki will be ready by August 1... Generally over 10 years, at least 300 km of new roads have been built in Crimea first category, more than 4 km of roads, or more than 000%, have been brought into standard condition.
