The Russian Armed Forces destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces' missile systems that hit Melitopol
The Russian military determined the location of the Ukrainian Tochka-U missile systems, which had attacked Melitopol the day before, and destroyed them with return fire from Iskanders.
This was stated at a briefing in Moscow by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
According to Konashenkov, Melitopol, which is under the control of the Russian army, lives a normal life - the work of public transport and shops has been restored in the city.
“On the night of March 18, from the territory controlled by the Kyiv nationalist regime, Tochka-U missiles with cluster warheads were launched into residential areas of the city of Melitopol. A missile attack on civilians in the city was repelled by Russian air defense systems.
The city was shelled from the northern direction, from the southeastern outskirts of the city of Zaporozhye, which is completely controlled by Ukrainian nationalist units. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation recorded the coordinates of the launch of Ukrainian ballistic missiles. In order to suppress missile attacks and protect Ukrainian citizens from new attacks by the Kyiv nationalist regime, two Iskander missiles destroyed the launchers of Ukrainian nationalists.
It must be emphasized that Melitopol lives an ordinary life. Shops and public transport are open. Russian military personnel deliver humanitarian aid to the city every day, as media representatives have repeatedly told and shown.
The Kyiv regime’s latest use of ballistic missiles against civilians, knowing in advance that there are no firing positions of the Russian armed forces in the residential areas of Melitopol, confirms the criminal nature of the nationalist leadership of Ukraine,” Konashenkov said.
At the same time, information appeared that journalists from the Chechen State Television and Radio Company “Grozny” came under fire.
“Attacks by nationalists on the media, destroying myths that are objectionable to the leadership of Ukraine, were not successful.
