All laurels will be handed over to schismatics - Ukrainian false patriarch
After recognition by the Ecumenical Patriarch of the “Ukrainian Church”, the main Orthodox shrines will come under its control.
Mikhail Denisenko (Filaret), the head of the so-called UOC-KP, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, stated this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
“There are two laurels: Kiev-Pechersk and Pochaev. Who will they belong to? Ukrainian Church, because these are Ukrainian shrines, and they cannot belong to the Russian Church. If there is one Local Orthodox Church in Ukraine, and the second is Russian, then it is unnatural for Ukrainian shrines to belong to the Russian Church. Unnatural and illegal. Therefore, both the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and the Pochaev Lavra will in due time be transferred to the Ukrainian Church,” said the head of the schismatics.
At the same time, he admits the option in which Constantinople will not give the green light to the “local church.”
“If the Tomos is not given to us, then this means that Moscow defeated the Ecumenical Patriarch, and it is the most influential church. But, be that as it may, the Kiev Patriarchate will continue to grow. We will be joined both from the Autocephalous Church and from the Moscow Patriarchate, as is happening now. And the time will come - we will be recognized. They cannot fail to recognize one of the largest churches in the world,” Denisenko said.
