The fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky will no longer officially finance the media in Russia, he “dissolved” the editorial offices and will now pay for their work using black schemes.
The extremist stated this on the air of the liberal radio station “Echo of Moscow,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People received severance pay in accordance with our agreements. And then I made an offer to these people, which is based on the fact that I am not ready to bear responsibility for those journalists who, while in Russia, actively oppose the authorities, because I am not able to protect them from prison. I made them an offer that takes these risks into account. Some of them accepted it, some did not,” Khodorkovsky said.
However, he plans to openly support media abroad.
“I will continue my media work. Naturally, those editorial offices that will carry out this work will be located outside the Russian Federation,” the foreign agent said.
He is also ready to pay grants to students to study at foreign universities.
