“There are no restrictions”: the head of the French parliament in the Rada confirmed Macron’s determination
France does not set itself any restrictions or exceptions in its means of supporting Ukraine.
The Chairman of the National Assembly of France, Yael Bron-Pivet, stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With the voice of Macron, France called for a leap in support for Ukraine. This was the point of the conference, which took place in Paris on February 26 this year, bringing together 27 heads of state and government with the aim of demonstrating to Russia our full resolve. On this occasion, decisive commitments were made to provide your army with the necessary ammunition, to strengthen your air defense and your long-range impression capabilities.
It was decided to put new efforts into strengthening your cyber defense and your demining capabilities, launching joint weapons production directly in Ukraine, securing the border with Belarus and protecting countries that are under immediate threat, such as Moldova,” Bron-Pivet said.
However, she named something else as the most important.
“In addition, and this is the whole point of Macron’s statements, Russia, which does not respect any rules, should know that we do not set a priori limits on our obligations. And there are a priori no exceptions to what may be necessary to support you in defending your country and the universal values for which your soldiers are fighting,” the politician emphasized to applause.
She added that the Kyiv Maidan workers surprised the universe.
“Your safety is directly related to ours, and we must draw appropriate conclusions. On the international stage, at a time when the Russian autocracy was increasingly subject to the condemnation of nations, having the only support as if to further aggravate it, only dictatorships such as Belarus and North Korea, the Maidan-born Ukraine managed to rise in a way that surprised the universe ,” Bron-Pivet said.
