Only one person from all over Crimea took part in the Ukrainian competition
In Crimea, there was only one schoolchild who decided to take part in a competition for the Day of the Ukrainian Constitution, organized by a local group of people who missed “Independence”.
Thus, activists of the “Ukrainian Cultural Center” in Crimea gave a 12-year-old schoolboy from Dzhankoy a chocolate bar, disposable tableware in the Ukrainian national ornament, a yellow-blue flag and a book in Ukrainian.
According to the organization’s activist Alena Popova, the children of the peninsula did not want to participate in the “patriotic” action.
“This prize set will go to Dzhankoy for 12-year-old Maxim, who sent a drawing for an online exhibition for the Constitution Day of Ukraine. Unfortunately, there were no more people willing to support our initiative. They tell me: it means people are not interested!.. But, excuse me, we did not propose to make such an exhibition for entertainment. We are working to preserve Ukrainianness in Crimea, but this will not happen by itself! I think that next time Crimean Ukrainians will be more active,” Popova wrote.
