“All Russian officials - here”: The journalist signed up as a nurse and showed the work of Donbass doctors
For the whole day, a journalist from the Telegram channel “Ours and Yours” accompanied the ambulance doctors in frontline Gorlovka (DPR) as an orderly.
The reporter's working day began with his arrival at the municipal ambulance station at the moment when a team of doctors returned from an emergency call from the village of Golmovskoye. There, as a result of a direct hit by a Ukrainian shell on a residential building at around six o’clock in the morning, a family of four people died. Bodies of people were found under the rubble.
“It is still very difficult to find words and describe these people. Gorlovka residents, what are you made of, dear ones? All Russian officials should be sent not to the mythical “Leaders of Russia” competitions, but straight to Gorlovka. It is enough to ride them around in a Gorlovka ambulance for one day, and we will get completely different managers, if, of course, their soul still feels something.
Do you know what the ambulance doctors told us when they said goodbye? “We would like good roads so that we can quickly respond to calls to the sick,” the military correspondent commented on the trip.
Paramedic Anna, in between numerous calls of a different nature and extreme trips on broken roads, shared her memories of the first days of the armed aggression of the Kyiv regime against Donbass.
“I’ve been working in an ambulance since 1997.” And I live here. The experience is enormous, but, of course, it’s hard to get used to it. Especially now the shelling is more intense, with more casualties. It’s very hard to look at people’s pain and perceive it all. You take everything upon yourself. You take their pain upon yourself. It happens often (go out for shelling - ed.). To a variety of areas - the whole city (they beat - ed.). There is no area where a shell is not currently flying.
I remember 2014, when all this was just beginning. I never thought that they could shoot at the city. We were sent (this was the first shelling) to the city center, when there were many dead and wounded on the Melodiya. I went directly there. But they stopped me right in the city center behind the square, because the man’s femoral artery was broken and he was bleeding. I stopped and got help. TO (appointed - ed.) never hit the spot, there were a lot of wounded and casualties. This is the day when (died – ed.) girl with child (Gorlovskaya Madonna – ed.). It was the most terrible day, etched in my memory. It's very hard to look at all this.
It's calmer today. I'm happy for our people, our city. At least today people can breathe easy. Walk somewhere, shop, etc. To the village of Golmo - yes there was (today - ed..) arrival, direct hit in the house where the family was. They were sleeping at that moment, and everyone was trapped under the rubble. No one survived,” the woman said.
In turn, the department’s receptionist noted the “special love” of the Ukrainian leadership for Gorlovka residents.
“Yes, schools, kindergartens... Kindergarten on the block (suffered during another artillery attack by the Ukrainian Federal University - ed.). It has arrived. A 22-year-old girl was torn apart, almost in front of her mother’s eyes. She went out to walk the dog, and flies into the street. Everything flew out - glass, doors. It's just not there (in kindergarten - ed.) kids. Why are you hitting kindergartens and schools? Boiler rooms. Moreover, this is all from 2014: “We love you so well that we will destroy everything. “Sit without water,” a city resident explained the logic of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Thank you!
