Belarus will have to deploy not only border guards but also troops on the Ukrainian border.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting of the Security Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"There are a ton of problems there. And many of them will have to be solved through mobilization—building the border that's been abandoned on the Ukrainian side, constructing outposts, arming border guards.
"Furthermore, armed forces have to be deployed in the second line behind the border guards. This diverts certain resources," Lukashenko said.
He also noted that the situation on the Ukrainian border has now stabilized.
