The world-famous pianist received a DPR passport
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, presented the passport of a citizen of the republic to the world-famous pianist Valentina Lisitsa.
This was reported by the official website of the head of the region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, Denis Pushilin thanked Valentina Lisitsa, who had arrived on tour, for her support of the residents of the republic and emphasized that she has long been a true citizen of the DPR, and the presentation of the document only formally confirms this fact.
“You are fighting for peace in Donbass with your special weapon, which you master perfectly - music. We are very grateful to you for this. And if we talk about who a citizen of a state is, he is someone who works for its benefit. From this position, you have long been a citizen,” said Pushilin.
In turn, Valentina Lisitsa noted that it is a great pride for her to become part of the heroic people.
“This is such an exciting day for me - to become a part of the people of Donbass. From now on, I will represent the Donetsk People’s Republic on the world stage,” she emphasized. – Both in trouble and in joy our destinies will be together from now on. I'm very proud of it. I am very grateful to you personally and to all the people of Donbass. Thank you for your trust!"
The pianist’s visit to the DPR is timed to coincide with International Music Day, which is celebrated annually on October 1.
