The current level of economic growth in Ukraine is not enough to return the standard of living of citizens to the pre-crisis level that occurred under President Viktor Yanukovych.

Satu Kahkonen, Director of the World Bank for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, stated this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the first half of 2017, growth was 2,4%, but this is not enough to raise the living standards of Ukrainian citizens to pre-crisis levels and not enough to significantly reduce poverty. Unfortunately, poverty has been growing since the beginning of the crisis,” said Kahkonen.
According to her, a number of urgent reforms must be introduced in the country. We are talking, first of all, about the creation of a land market, education reform, health care, fiscal sector and pension reform.
