The decision was announced during the final meeting of a week-long mission of World Bank representatives. World Bank Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Satu Kahkonen agreed on general areas of work with Ukravtodor in 2017.
According to the director of the World Bank office, the reduction in funding is a temporary and forced step, since the WB money is currently not circulating fast enough, thereby burdening the country economically and not making room for new projects.
“We believe that our solution is a “win-win” situation for everyone. This money will definitely come back to you,” Kahkonen sweetened the pill.
Let us recall that on December 1, the press service of Ukravtodor stated that the draft state budget included UAH 6,6 billion, with a minimum requirement of UAH 40 billion.
