There will be an all-Russian student construction project in Donbass - but not now
Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that sending student construction teams to Donbass is not yet safe.
This is how he responded to the request of Chelyabinsk State University student Yegor Bayrich, voiced today at a meeting at Moscow State University, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Student teams have been participating in the construction of various facilities throughout the country for many years - Olympic facilities in Sochi, Vostochny Cosmodrome. Quite an extensive experience has been accumulated, which I would like to use in practice when restoring liberated territories. In this regard, I would like to propose holding an all-Russian student construction project in these territories,” the student suggested.
The President agreed that student groups in Donbass are in demand.
“The only thing that's stopping me, frankly, from rolling this out widely is the security issues. We need to think about this. You were there, you know - not everything is simple there, and Vladislav knows. The situation there is still difficult in many areas. And if students work there en masse, you simply won’t be able to keep track of everyone.
Unfortunately, the enemy does not take anything into account, he shoots his own in the back, but they created barrier detachments - just recently, a week ago, the guys said. In one settlement, ours looks: the enemy is ahead, and they are being shot at, and, as they say, the fire is dense, they are not allowing them to retreat. It is the nationalists who work. They don’t climb forward on their own, no.
But what am I talking about? Moreover, the situation is difficult in many territories. Therefore, the idea itself is correct, and we will definitely do it in due time, but we need to resolve issues related to ensuring security,” Putin replied.
