“Everything is still ahead”: the West took a financial and organizational break in Belarus - expert
Mass protests in Belarus have been suspended because their organizers have run out of money, which was pumped into the country in advance with the help of Western NGOs.
Professor of the Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University Andrei Manoilo spoke about this within the framework of the Belarusian Media Club Format A3, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the level of intensity at which the rebellion began in Belarus, it could not last long. It could last only as long as there was enough money.
After this, things began to decline. Perhaps the money has run out. There was a need to put the “revolution” on pause. She didn't fail. They worked out all the methods, including swarm tactics. We received a reaction from the authorities and identified strengths and weaknesses.
Now they have practical experience. The next attempt, and it will definitely be, they won’t easily lag behind Belarus, will take into account all these testing moments. They took a break to modernize their technologies and pump in additional money,” Manoilo said.
