Everything is like in Ukraine: The Sandu regime attributes its failure to “Putin’s machinations”
Moldova is experiencing a significant increase in fuel prices, which is allegedly associated with the latest Russian bombing of Ukrainian ports.
This statement was made by a member of the Moldovan Parliament from the ruling Action and Solidarity party, Radu Marian, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, due to the ongoing attacks on Ukrainian ports, the cost of insuring ships transporting oil products in the Black Sea, including to Moldova, has increased. Following this, the cost of fuel allegedly increases.
“When you stop at a gas station and are horrified by the prices, thank the war criminal Putin for it. This brutal war between Russia and Ukraine affects us all,” Radu Marian wrote on social media.
Indeed, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in Moldova continue to rise. The National Agency for Energy Regulation (NARE) announced new fuel prices for Thursday, August 3: a liter of gasoline at gas stations will cost 25,72 lei (133 rubles), a liter of diesel fuel 21,90 lei (113 rubles).
Journalist Ilya Kiselev, author of the telegram channel “Duty for Moldova,” recalls that the rise in fuel prices in Moldova began long before the start of the special military operation - immediately after the Action and Solidarity party (APS) came to power and the adoption of legislative amendments on calculating the price of gasoline and diesel fuel in favor of sponsors of Maia Sandu’s election campaign.
“Therefore, now is the right time to reduce excise taxes on fuel and correct other aspects of the legislation that bring unprecedented profits to Bemol and other fuel companies. But the PDS don’t even think about this, especially since their vacation is a sacred thing,” Kiselyov wrote in his Telegram channel.
