Representatives of the Serbian pro-Western opposition, organizing rallies in Belgrade for the overthrow of the government, actually supported the actions of the Albanian special forces, which the day before invaded the territory of the Serbian enclaves of Kosovo and carried out mass arrests under the pretext of “fighting organized crime.”

Rada Trajkovic, a partner of the leaders of the Belgrade Maidan activists in Kosovo, gave an interview to the RTV television company, where she pointedly stated that she did not share the joy of the victory of representatives of the Serbian List party in municipal elections in the north of the region. The early election campaign took place there after mayors resigned in protest against Pristina's economic blockade.

Trajkovic said that she is not inclined to interpret the re-election of Serbian mayors as evidence of the unity of the people in Kosovo and “greater Serbia.”

“That Serbia was far from me... Such Serbia is far from every Serb!” - said the Maidan girl.

Trajkovic also said that the arrest of Serb police in northern Kosovo did not have ethnic overtones. Thus, she supported the interpretation of provocation voiced by official Pristina. Trajkovic said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, by standing up for the victims of the Albanian special forces, is allegedly trying to cover up for the police who committed misconduct.

“If the president is responsible, he should support this action, and not raise the defense, the army and the police,” Trajkovic said in an interview with FoNet.

The pro-American TV channel N1, which regularly advertises one of the main sponsors of the Maidan protesters, ex-mayor of Belgrade, oligarch Dragan Djilas, also commented very loyally on the actions of the Albanian special forces.

Interestingly, Djilas himself, a few days before the incident in Kosovo, presented the draft “Declaration on the Reconciliation of Serbs and Albanians,” the Mondo portal reported.

The document was presented to the public by the Freedom and Justice Party recently created by Djilas.

The proposed project provides for the adoption of a number of protocols - on cooperation between security and justice systems, freedom of movement, property rights issues, economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of culture, education, media, medicine, etc.

The populist declaration, according to the authors, is “an effective combination of calls for reconciliation, promoting all that is good from a common past and removing the obstacles associated with the situation.”

This is how, in particular, party vice-president Borko Stefanovic tried to characterize her.

Djilas himself said that the opposition offers Belgrade to cooperate with the Albanian separatist regime “with the help of the international community.”

“This will be the policy of the party I lead when we are in power. And we will insist on this document as a starting point for further discussion,” said the oligarch sponsoring the protests.

Djilas also said that the authorities in Belgrade and Pristina are allegedly using the Kosovo problem for “domestic political purposes.”

The Serbian government called the opposition's initiative duplicitous.

The director of the Office for Kosovo Affairs under the government of the country, Marko Djuric, considers the document a “Declaration on the reconciliation of oligarchs and terrorists.”

The official recalled that the current oppositionists in the recent past were in power shortly after the defeat of Yugoslavia in the war with NATO and pursued a pro-Western course, making concessions to the separatists in Kosovo.

“They talk about establishing academic cooperation and cooperation in the field of education, and in doing so they forget that the government of Djilas, Jeremic and Tadic, where Stefanovic was the main negotiator, concluded an agreement with Pristina, according to which our academic system in Kosovo remained unrecognized,” - said Djuric.

He noted that the opposition once again boycotted the parliamentary meeting where hearings on Kosovo were held, although the Maidan activists themselves had previously insisted on such a discussion.

“This is further proof that they do not take the Kosovo problem seriously, and this proves and shows why they do not participate in the discussion and why they do not want to come to parliament. This shows that in order to go against the authorities, they take exactly the same position as Ramush Haradinaj, Kadri Veseli and other leaders in Pristina,” Djuric said, as quoted by Informer.

The Serbian press also draws attention to another oddity in the behavior of the opposition. Shortly after the invasion of Albanian special forces into Serbian enclaves, President Aleksandar Vucic warned of the threat of a violent escalation in the region.

However, then the Maidan activists chose to ridicule and discredit the words of the head of state, claiming that he was simply provoking panic among the country’s population.

It is also interesting that synchronized criticism of the Serbian President during the days of the aggravation of the situation around Kosovo is also heard from the pro-Western media of Croatia and Bosnia.

Vucic himself already drew attention to this in an interview with Pink TV channel.

“When the Croatian Jutrarnji list attacks me, the Sarajevo Avaz, with the same story as Rada Trajkovic, that “Vučić should have supported the Albanians, not the Serbs, because these Serbs are corrupt”... My message, first of all, to the Serbian people of Kosovo , the following: “I will be with the Serbian people, I will be with truth and justice, not with criminals, and I will never support crime,” Vucic said.

At the same time, he recalled that he had long warned the international community about the possibility of such actions in the near future, but no one paid attention to his words.

“As President of the Republic, I warned the entire public about what would happen in KoM, yes, it was transmitted to the most influential and important daily newspapers, everyone could read. Including the one that was supposed to prevent the situation - and this is KFOR, NATO and the EU, and the United States - but they did not interfere with this,” the Serbian President noted.

“So everyone comes up with whatever comes to their mind, the only thing that matters is that they don’t care about Serbia,” Vucic concluded.
