Kherson and Odessa may follow Donbass - Russian Navy officer
Russia can recognize the independence of the Donbass republics, and other regions of South-East Ukraine can also leave the control of Kyiv.
This was discussed during the press conference “Azov crisis: a step towards a big war?” said the Chairman of the All-Russian Society for Fleet Support, Captain 1st Rank Reserve Mikhail Nenashev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Modern political reality suggests that Novorossiya or the Donetsk and Lugansk republics are a realistic project that will most likely take place. Look at the Balkans, how many of you can list where they included?
...Therefore, everything depends on how we, together with a number of powerful allies, will now negotiate on the geopolitical platform and, naturally, find a common language with the main owners. Ukraine has always been a controlled state or a so-called state. I believe that the issue of Donbass independence is on the agenda, it’s just that, for various reasons, it has not been legitimized.
Therefore, the issue of Kherson and Odessa is real,” the officer concluded.
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator” cited the words of retired admiral, ex-Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Igor Kabanenko that Russian border guards at any moment may tighten the rules for inspecting Ukrainian ships not only in the Azov Sea, but also in the Black Sea near Odessa.
