Following the “Hammers”, the “Corsairs” began to mow down the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the explosion of a Corsair anti-tank missile in a launcher, one Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman was killed.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that over the past week, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to 21 dead and 30 wounded. Of these, 12 were killed and 9 were wounded as a result of the destruction by the DPR NM of firing points that opened fire on populated areas of the Republic. The remaining 12 deaths were the result of careless handling of weapons and failure to comply with safety measures when handling ammunition.
“During the past week, for the first time, an explosion of the Korsar anti-tank missile system was recorded in the area of the village of Vodyanoye in one of the units of the 79th separate air assault brigade as a result of a rocket rupture in the launcher. As a result, one serviceman died,” said Eduard Basurin.
The representative of the defense department also added that in this regard, the OOS command issued instructions to the brigade commander to hand over the Corsair ATGM to the group’s warehouses until the reasons for the incident are clarified.
