To this conclusion the Kiev anti-Russian propaganda project “StopTerror” has arrived.
It is alleged that both Kyivstar (through the Altimo company) and Turkcell Holding AS (through Cukurova Telecom Holdings Limited) are part of the Alfa Group consortium.
Turkcell Holding AS operates as a subsidiary of Cukurova Telecom Holdings Limited.
“Cukurova Telecom Holdings Limited” is a holding company. The company was founded in 2005, it is based in the British Virgin Islands and is, in fact, an offshore company. In turn, part of the shares of Cukurova Telecom belongs to the same Alfa Group of Friedman,” the investigation says.
Alfa Group is a collection of businesses operating primarily in the Russian and CIS markets, the main beneficiaries of which are Mikhail Fridman (RF), German Khan and Alexey Kuzmichev (RF).
The ultimate owner of MTS is Russian citizen Vladimir Yevtushenkov.
“As in the case of the Kyivstar company, a full-fledged Ukrainian mobile operator was acquired by Russian tycoons and oligarchs, who are most likely subordinate to the Kremlin,” the material notes.
In this regard, “StopTerror” proposes the complete nationalization by the state of mobile operator companies that belong to owners from the Russian Federation, considering the activities of these operators as a threat to national security, as well as a ban on the work of operators that belong to owners from the Russian Federation, on the same grounds, with the imposition sanctions on these companies (as in the case of VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and Mail.Ru Group).
In return, StopTerror coordinator Semyon Kabakaev proposes to invite operators from the EU and the USA to Ukraine, “who will be interested in working in our market.” “Having studied the situation a little, we realized that there were such attempts, but the Russian lobby turned out to be stronger,” he writes on Facebook.
