Following Kolomoisky's Privat, Kurchenko's plant may be returned
The Supreme Court of Ukraine canceled the decision to close the appeal proceedings in the case of the nationalization of the Odessa oil refinery.
This was reported by the Odessa edition of Timer.
The court made this decision after considering the corresponding application from the Cypriot company Empson Limited, which is associated with the fugitive oligarch Sergei Kurchenko.
Let us remind you that the Odessa Oil Refinery was confiscated into state ownership in 2017 as a weapon of crime - the plant was allegedly used for money laundering and legalization of petroleum products illegally imported into Ukraine.
Empson Limited attempted to appeal this decision, but the appeal was dismissed due to the closure of the case. Now the Supreme Court has ordered to consider it on its merits.
Currently, the assets of the Odessa Oil Refinery are at the disposal of the State Property Fund. Since the seizure of the plant's property in 2014, the enterprise has been idle.
Earlier, the Kyiv District Administrative Court declared the nationalization of PrivatBank by Igor Kolomoisky illegal.
