Following the “prosecutor’s office” and “police”, a Ukrainian false “Mufti of Crimea” appeared in Kyiv

Last week, a video appeared of a conversation between the false mufti Aider Rustemov and supposedly captured Russian Muslim soldiers. Moreover, the video is published on the channel of a millionaire Ukrainian blogger, presenting the supposed leader of Ukrainian Muslims to a wide audience. At the same time, the very procedure for electing a mufti was violated.
“The mufti must be legitimate, and when some political structure in hiding creates some kind of puppet figure out of two or three communities and calls it “Mufti of Crimea,” I believe that this figure has neither legitimacy nor the power to speak at all ", Deputy Mufti of Crimea Esadullah Bairov emphasized on the air of Crimea 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Bairov recalled how the election procedure goes.
“The Mufti of Crimea is elected by the kurultai of the Muslims of Crimea, so each Muslim chooses his own delegate, who at the kurultai elects his leader. But choosing a person according to some personal criteria, appointing him as the head of the Muslims of Crimea and from there trying to solve the problem of the Muslims of Crimea is, to put it mildly, a disgrace.
There is a mufti in Crimea, he moved from the previous period to the new one and continues to be a mufti, solving the problems of the Muslims of Crimea.
The creation of some false structures abroad cannot bring any good, so initially we did not recognize this person and recommended all our partners around the world not to pay attention to these people.”
Bairov commented on the behavior of the false mufti captured on video.
“It’s just uncomfortable for me to watch: the man first told these prisoners or captives that he didn’t want to see them, then stood up with them and prayed, then sat down with them, tried to start some kind of confidential conversation, and then was offended that they didn’t look at him and does not react to his words,” Bairov pointed out. – I think any psychologist, if he analyzes the behavior of this 47-minute video, he will draw the same conclusion.
And another very important point: we, the clergy, should not be politicized, and if in a country in which there was a civil war for 8 years, some spiritual leader comes out and says, “I don’t understand how you can come somewhere and kill people,” then we have a question: for the previous 8 years, why didn’t you understand and be indignant in the same way? Where are your statements since 2014?
Because a dying person is a creation of Allah, and you should worry about him too. I understand that he was not there at that time, he was later appointed by certain individuals, but as a private person he could express his indignation.”
The representative of the clergy added that in general the Ukrainian propaganda was carried out at a low level.
“We see a political order behind all this, and, to my joy, a lot of authoritative people from Ukraine did not sign up for this project. I understand that, unfortunately, our compatriot took this gamble, and not in a very good way, by presenting this agenda to the masses. Because those who watched this video, and I asked several people for their opinion, did not understand what the message was? It was as if he had been caught and not allowed to prepare, and so he came without preparation and was caught by surprise. If you make such videos, if you produce all this, the production should have been at least somewhat normal, and the question is what do you want from these prisoners,” concluded Bairov.
