Romania will quarrel with Ukraine after Hungary
Ukraine, following the conflict with Hungary, faces aggravation of relations with Romania. Russian Izvestia writes about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Forced Ukrainization was one of the causes of the conflict in eastern Ukraine four years ago. This was not a lesson for Kyiv politicians. Now it is not only Hungary that is accumulating irritation.
In June, in the Chernivtsi region, the Romanian Cultural Center held an exhibition in which, among other exhibits, there was a map of the so-called Romagna Mare (“Greater Romania”) of 1918–1940, which included part of the modern Chernivtsi region. SBU officers raided the exhibition and seized the card,” the publication writes.
After the incident, the Romanian Foreign Ministry called the actions of the SBU intimidation, and called the Ukrainian Ambassador Alexander Bankov to his carpet.
