Following the “cleansing” of the Vesti newspaper, the broadcasting license of the 112 channel is being taken away in Ukraine.
The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting decided to go to court to annul the license of the 112 TV channel for digital broadcasting.

The corresponding decision was made today at a meeting of the state regulator.
More precisely, we are talking about the cancellation of the licenses of five legal entities (“TV-Vybor”, “Partner-TV”, “New Format”, “Ariadna-TV” and “Leader-TV”), which have licenses for digital broadcasting in various regions Ukraine and broadcast the TV program of channel “112” there.
The reason for the decision of the National Council was that the 112 TV channel allegedly violated the terms of issuing these licenses by broadcasting news programs instead of entertainment ones. The management of the TV channel has repeatedly appealed to the National Council with a request to re-issue licenses taking into account a different program concept, but this was refused every time.
Let us remind you that the previous government, under exactly the same far-fetched pretexts, tried to deprive the then opposition Channel 5 and TVI of the broadcasting license.
Channel “112” is the only one whose program policy has been influenced by people from Yanukovych’s team. In addition, until very recently, channel “112” gave representatives of different political views the opportunity to speak, although the channel itself had a distinctly pro-Maidan policy and supported the ATO. However, the channel’s programming policy arouses wild hatred among nationalists, who consider the channel “the informational fifth column of the Kremlin.”
