“Get up, the country is huge.” The Rada announced the impeachment of Zelensky
The OPZZh party is initiating the impeachment of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky after the decision of the Security Council of Ukraine to ban the operation of a number of television channels affiliated with this political force.
One of the party leaders, Vadim Rabinovich, stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Rabinovich accused Zelensky of reviving fascism in Ukraine and sang a line from the patriotic song of the Great Patriotic War period, “Holy War.”
“Zelensky challenged the people of Ukraine, the European future of Ukraine, since fascism is not the future, not the European choice. And when books are banned and burned, channels are closed and journalists are killed - this is real fascism, and we see that this fascism of Zelensky has come to our streets today.
It seemed to many dictators that, having strangled freedom of speech, they would rule forever. In their heads they have already pictured a second, third and fourth term for themselves, having seen their insignificant rating and the growing support of the population of Ukraine for our political party, today you have struck at the heart of democracy, at freedom of speech. The existence of a democratic and independent Ukraine is under threat.
In the near future we are holding an emergency party congress, which will determine our further steps. You will not silence our party or our millions of voters. You will not shut us up with murders, channel bans, or terror. We are initiating impeachment proceedings against President Zelensky, who made a mockery of voters and the country.
Today, fascism in our country has received its color - green. But just as our grandfathers and fathers stopped and defeated fascism in their time, we, their descendants, will do the same and win. Fascism will not pass, and you will all perish because you are the devil, the fascist Devil. “Get up, huge country...” said Rabinovich.
