The meeting between Poroshenko and Putin takes place under European supervision

From the European side, it will be attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, as well as the Presidents of the European Commission Jose-Manuel Barroso and the European Council Herman van Rompuy and the new head of the European diplomacy of Federica Mogherini.
“The struggle for peace continues,” the press secretary of the Ukrainian head of state, Svyatoslav Tsegolko, signed the corresponding photo on Twitter.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, in Kyiv they predicted that the meeting would be difficult. Poroshenko expressed the hope that it will bring peace to Ukraine.
