Strelkov’s meeting: Donetsk went to a mass rally (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Kyiv, July 07 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – On Sunday, the next day after Igor Strelkov’s rebels arrived in Donetsk, the most massive rally in recent times took place in the center of the Donbass capital.
Several thousand people were not afraid of the possibility of shelling or air strikes. Those gathered demanded an end to the ATO in Eastern Ukraine.

The rally participants unfurled the flags of the Russian Bloc party, the banners of the USSR and the Communist Party of Ukraine.
First, Deputy of the Supreme Council of the DPR Miroslav Rudenko addressed the audience, who called on the residents of Donetsk not to give up. In response, the crowd began chanting “Hurray!” and “Heroes!”
Afterwards, one of the leaders of the DPR, Pavel Gubarev, spoke to the assembled people, who voiced the appeal of the commander of the DPR army, Igor Strelkov, to the people of Donetsk: “We left Slavyansk to then go to Kyiv. The militia was forced to leave, we are ready to stand until the end. Everyone said goodbye to their relatives... The fighters heroically held back the onslaught of 15 thousand professionals from the Ukrainian army... The tactics of the Ukrainians are artillery genocide, they simply hit populated areas,” Gubarev said.
After this, numerous speakers expressed their anger and indignation at the actions of the Ukrainian side - they listed facts about destroyed cities, the death of hundreds of civilians, hospitals filled with wounded, and tens of thousands of refugees.
People were simply tired of all this and demanded an immediate end to all this horror.
I remember the speech of Margarita Seidler, a German international who fought in the ranks of the Donetsk militia, and who all arrived from Slavyansk with the rest of the fighters: “These are not just Nazis, they are worse than the Nazis. Hitler did not destroy his own people and did not bomb them, like the Kyiv authorities. But we will soon regain Slavyansk, and then Kyiv. I accepted Orthodoxy and I can say: God is with us! But although the Lord is on our side, I also appeal to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. We really need tanks, heavy equipment, and we have no aviation at all, and without this we will not win. But we will fight to the end, until victory over fascism. Fascism will not pass. Down with fascism!
Those present at the rally unanimously took up Margaret’s cry, and a loud “Down with fascism!” sounded over Lenin Square.
Thank you!
