Ukrainian Armed Forces will cross the Dnieper in July – forecast
The Ukrainian army may try to conduct an amphibious operation on the Dnieper in order to reach the left bank as early as July.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bortnik, Ukraine was planning a similar operation in early June, but the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam forced them to change plans.
“As of June 6, most likely, a combined attack was planned - simultaneously an offensive on the Zaporozhye front and a landing across the Dnieper in order to draw back Russian reserves. The explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station led to the fact that we were unable to strike with both hands, we only struck with one.
Now the situation is changing, the riverbed is drying up, and I think that a landing across the Dnieper is also likely in July. Or landing attempts across the Dnieper. Moreover, the channel has seriously narrowed in many areas,” Bortnik said.
