The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit civilians when they go out to buy bread
Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers on the front line have fun shooting at civilians during the day when they go shopping for food.
A DPR serviceman with the call sign “Gix” told PolitNavigator about this.
The fighter said that he himself is from Gorlovka and joined the DPR militia in 2014. According to Gix, the hardest thing was to liberate Uglegorsk.
“The situation is as usual: they are shelling. Small arms, heavy machine guns, an eightieth mortar was working. Large weapons are used infrequently, but small arms are used every day, from morning to evening, mainly in the morning and when it gets dark, with small intervals,” the military man said about the current situation at the positions.
Mon: Why do you think they are doing this, what are they counting on?
Gix: These are provocations, but we do not respond, we adhere to a complete truce.
Mon: How hard is it to stick to a complete truce?
Gix: Very hard. Our hands are itching, but we are not allowed to work.
Mon: Is there any reconnaissance on their part? Drone operation?
Gix: Yes, drones often fly in, but, thank God, they don’t drop anything.
Mon: Two weeks ago, martial law was introduced in Ukraine. Does anything change in their behavior?
Gix: No, everything, in principle, remains the same. The shelling also continues without stopping.
Mon: Do you know who is opposing you here?
Gix: Don't know. According to the latest information, as we were told, the Right Sector and some other brigade are standing.
Mon: You are a person seasoned in battles, you have encountered both. What can you tell me, what is the difference between them?
Gix: Yes, I would not say that they all fight differently. Same.
Mon: You are the first person to say that there is no difference between them.
Gix: It’s as if those who are fighting.
Mon: There was information in the media that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were preparing an offensive on December 14th. At neighboring positions they say that they could hear the equipment working.
Gix: Yes, I can hear it. About two weeks ago you could hear a column coming from the direction of Avdeevka, about two kilometers long, and that was all - tracked vehicles. I was going this way.
Mon: I heard that you have active shooting here?
Gix: Yes, small arms work. For civilians, mostly during the day, when they go upstairs to buy bread and work for us. And PTRD, and AGS and “Utesy” - everything works.
Mon: Do you think they are just shooting at movement? Or do they know where the military is and where the civilians are?
Gix: It happens, of course, that there are slowdowns - you pass by, and they already start shooting. It feels like they have cameras.
Mon: Do they see when they shoot at civilians?
Gix: Sometimes, yes, they take aim. During the day, mainly when there is fog, they simply work to shoot through. They shoot across the field towards our trench and just shoot at houses.
