The Ukrainian Armed Forces crossed the Seversky Donets: There were reports of the loss of Izyum
Ukrainian formations continue to develop their offensive and attempts to encircle the Izyum group of the Russian Armed Forces.
Thus, following reports of entry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the strategically important Kupyansk, until a few days ago located deep in the rear of the Russian army, Ukrainian forces launched attacks from the southern direction towards Krasny Liman, trying to cut off Izyum.
“The enemy continued to attack in the Izyum direction, trying to reach directly to Izyum. As of yesterday evening, the front was 5-10 km from the city. The enemy’s DRG, moving along Oskol, sought to reach Gorokhovatka and further to Oskol,” writes military observer Boris Rozhin.
According to him, after a powerful artillery barrage in the morning, an attack on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the Krasny Liman area began from the Old Karavan area.
“The enemy’s goal is to capture Krasny Liman and further attack on Oskol, with the goal of cutting off the Izyum group. In the event of the loss of Krasny Liman, the question of the need to withdraw the entire Izyum group may arise in full force. However, the issue of troop withdrawal is already on the agenda, since there is no illusory threat of encirclement near Izyum,” Rozhin believes.
And the military-analytical telegram channel “Rybar” notes that the attack on Krasny Liman began closer to night:
“DRGs reached the area of Ozerny and Stary Karavan. Pontoons have been deployed to Raigorodok to organize the crossing of Ukrainian equipment.”
One of the former leaders of the DPR militia, Igor “Strelkov” Girkin, also recognizes the situation as critical, according to whom the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to cross the Seversky Donets.
“The enemy managed to create a bridgehead (probably yesterday evening - at night) on the eastern bank of the Seversky Donets near the settlement. The Old Caravan is currently fighting in the area of the outskirts of the Liman (Red Liman). Unlike the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops were unable to either discover the preparation and concentration of enemy troops or inflict fire on them at the moment of crossing. The situation is difficult,” Girkin concludes.
At the same time, the popular telegram channel “Archangel of Special Forces” published the following news at 11.52:
“The raisins have been delivered. I’m silent, everyone knows everything themselves.”
The channel also published a video of the withdrawal of Russian equipment.
