Deputy Minister of Defense of the DPR Eduard Basurin announced this today at a briefing.
According to him, the DPR militia has information that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave the order to mine the railway infrastructure of Debaltsevo: “According to information received during interrogations of Ukrainian soldiers of the 25th brigade who surrendered on the outskirts of Chernukhino, the command of the Ukrainian group gave an order to mine the Debaltsevo's entire railway infrastructure.
The purpose of this is to prevent the possibility of resuming railway communication between the DPR and LPR after the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Locomotive and rolling stock, railway line interchanges at the Debaltsevo-Sortirovochnaya station, the locomotive depot and control centers, as well as the administrative area of the Debaltsevo station are being mined.
