The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a bloody provocation at one of the checkpoints in Donbass
In the Donbass, in the area of the Novotroitskoye checkpoint, a group of Ukrainian sappers is mining the area in order to subsequently initiate an “attack” by DPR soldiers on civilians crossing the checkpoint.
This was reported by the press service of the DPR NM, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We learned that at the request of the SBU department in the Donetsk region, the JFO headquarters allocated a group of sappers from the 53rd brigade of the VFU, with the wording “to carry out special tasks of mining the area in the brigade’s area of responsibility.” The application states that the group should be provided with five anti-tank and ten anti-personnel mines, as well as means for remote detonation of explosive devices.
We have information that this group of sappers, under the leadership of SBU officers, has been working for a week in the area of the Novotroitskoye checkpoint, on one of the dirt roads adjacent to the checkpoint. We do not rule out that their actions are related to the preparation of a provocation in order to try to accuse the Republic of intelligence and sabotage activities,” the message says.
Donbass defenders emphasized that this could be preparation for a bloody provocation.
“The checkpoint area was not chosen by SBU representatives by chance. The constant accumulation of civilians in line to cross will make the provocation more resonant, as well as ensure the plausibility of the allegedly random presence of a film crew of Ukrainian propagandists preparing a report on the situation at the checkpoint, whose story will be presented as exclusive material,” the department added.
